Here is a good place to describe a list of your hobbies, projects
or interests.
 | AIDS Walk Orange County - Paul has been a supporter and a
participant in AWOC since
1992, and when Joe moved to the OC in 2002, he jumped right in-- in
fact, his first California job was Contract Administrator for the
AIDS Services Foundation, the
organization that sponsors AIDS Walk.

|
 | Mercy House - Homelessness is a big issue in Orange County,
and Santa Ana --the county seat-- has many people living 'in the
cracks' of the Civic Center and downtown.
Mercy House has been 'helping
people find their way back home' since 1988. Paul serves on the
Board of this non-profit agency.
|
 | French Park - Our neighborhood (the oldest in Santa Ana) is
home to some amazing people, and some amazing houses. Check out
our website... and watch for
our next Home Tour --you don't want to miss it!

 | Marriage Equality - Joe and Paul are thoroughly
married: we had a civil marriage performed in San Francisco in
2004, which was valid for almost six months, until the California
Supreme Court nullified it (and the other four thousand licenses
issued between February 14 and March 11). We had the first Holy
Union ceremony at the
Episcopal Church of the Messiah on December 4, 2004, attended by
almost 200 people... and a good time (and mucho Champagne) was had by
all. In May of 2008, the California Supremes held that the right
of same-gender couples to contract marriage could not be denied by the
State... and a month later, on June 17th, 2008, we were the second gay
couple married in Orange County. In November 2008, the People of
California will vote on Proposition 8, an initiative that will add the
words "Only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized
in California" to our State Constitution. We are actively
opposing this proposition, and we encourage you to join us;
Equality For All
is the organization leading the opposition, and we need both your time
and your money. Please give generously. |
